Designing the spokeguards

& why you need them….

In order to fence Championships & Paralympic games, IWAS requires for each federation to have their own spoke-guards. They have to comply to specific rules (size of letters, flag etc), but allow enough freedom for design.

For the upcoming European Championship, The Netherlands needed to submit a design (for we had none) and request approval. I worked hard to finish the design and send it to my federation (KNAS) – who then submitted it to IWAS for approval. Luckily we got it all done in time!
